The Advertisers Management Page

Once you have registered, whenever you sign in you will be taken straight to your management page. From here you can easily place adverts and manage your previous adverts. It is from here that you view all the bids that you have received and select a winner. You will see an example below of how the management page might look after you have started placing a few adverts. The management page works the same way for all three freight types. Because of this we will use sea freight as the example but remember that air and road freight work in the same way.

Over the next few sections you see more about each section above in greater detail.

Live Adverts

When you click on “Live Adverts” on the main management page you will then see all of your current adverts displayed in the format as shown in the image below. At the top of the advert you will see the advert ID followed by the advert name that you have specified (this is to make it easy to follow your adverts). The advert type is also labelled at the top of the advert, either as a bulk contract or single load. In all sections of the management page your adverts will be set out as shown below. You will see after the “Time Left” a count down to the advert expiry time in red. You will also see from this main page the amount of bids that you have received for each advert followed by the cheapest bid. This has been converted into your own preferred currency. The amount given on this screen is for one shipment only, even if it is a contract. To see the full bids broken down into their individual components and all other information provided by the transport company you need to “View All Bids”.

View Advert

If you click on the “View Advert” button it will take you to your advert. This is here just to recap your memory as to what the advert was for exactly. We have made it possible to see your advert at all stages in the bid selection process.

View All Bids Page

This is the page that you will see after you have clicked on the “View All Bids” button on one of your adverts.

Viewing Expired Adverts

Once you have clicked on the “View my expired adverts” you will see a list of your expired adverts. They are displayed in the same format as your “Live Adverts” (see above). For information on viewing all of your bids see the example above. The only difference between your live adverts and the expired adverts is that the adverts in this section are now closed, and so are unable to receive any more bids. You must make a choice of which company you are going to award the tender, or select the advert as being unsuccessful.

Viewing Adverts Pending Delivery

This section is where you have selected the company that you want to use, but the goods have yet to be delivered, or the contract yet to start. You will again see that you are presented with your adverts displayed in the same format as your “Live Adverts” (see above). However this time the “Close this Advert” button has been removed as the advert is already closed. You will see the three main buttons below as well as the “Favourite Loads” button and the “Place this advert again” button (click here for details on these buttons).

1. “View Advert”
2. “View All Bids”

This button now acts differently than before. We have left the ability to select another company from the original list of bidders if your first choice lets you down, or there is some other complication with the result that your first choice is unable to deliver the goods or start the contract. When you press this button you will unlock the advert but you must give a reason first as to why you need to unlock the advert. You will then be granted access to the list and your reason will be passed on for us to look at. Only use this if you are unable to use your first choice of transport company, abusing this system could result in us withdrawing the use of freighttender.com from you. Once you have unlocked the advert you will see the bid selection page (see above). You will be able to select any of the other bidders if their bid has not passed its expiry date. Instead of the “No Successful Bidder” option you will now have “Use the company that I have already chosen”, if you decide that you do not want to use anyone, still use this option. You will have an opportunity at a later date to tell the site if you used the selected freight company or not.

3. “View Winning Bidder”

This is a new button, pressing this will display the contact details for the company that you have awarded the tender to. You will also see a copy of their bid details on this page.

Viewing Successful Adverts

This section is for successful adverts, where you have chosen the company and they have either delivered your goods or started the contract. See “Viewing Adverts Pending Delivery” above for more details on how to use the feature here as they are the same. There is one difference however, When you click to “View all Bids” you will see all of the bids that were given by all companies. You will be able to see the bid details but of course now that the advert is closed you will not be able to select any of the bids or view any of the other bidders contact details.

Viewing Unsuccessful Adverts

These are the adverts where either no bids were made, or the bids were not accepted by you for one reason or another. You can view the advert from here and view the bids the same as in the “Viewing Successful Adverts” section. You can also add any of the adverts to your favourite loads page or place the advert again.

View Bid Details

To view the bid details of any of the bids you have received you need to click on the “View Bid Details” link on the “View All Bids Page”. (See above). An example of a full bid for each type of freight is included in this help guide. You will see a sea freight bid here, air freight here, road freight here).
