Step 1
Look in the shaded box that has the heading I
Represent, below that you will see two radio
buttons with questions next to them.
1. A company looking to find transport to move my
goods.
2. A transport company wanting to obtain more work.
Click on whichever button applies to your company.
You will now see three tick boxes that ask you what
type of freight your company is involved with. You
can tick as many as apply to your company. It is important
that you provide this information as it affects the
registration process.
Then click the
button.
Step 2
New Customer ID
Click in the box named "New Customer ID",
then type a name or word that you will remember when
coming back onto the site. This, as well as the password
must be made up of at least 8 characters.
Password
Type in a password with a minimum of 8 characters
that you will remember in the box provided, then move
to the Confirm Password box and type it
in again. Be careful to make sure that you type it
accurately. If there are any differences between these
two boxes it will not be accepted.
Next you will see a tick box labelled "Log me
in automatically when I return". We recommend
for ease of use that you leave this ticked if the
computer you are using is not a shared computer. Untick
this box if you want to enter your user ID and password
to log to on the site every time you come back to
it (this is the best option if you are not the only
person who has access to the computer).
Title
To fill out your title click the arrow next to the
box which will then display a drop down list, then
use the mouse to select the appropriate title.
Fill in your contact details. All items marked with
a red star are compulsory and so therefore must be
filled in for you to get any further in the registration
process.
V.A.T. Registration Number
It is important that you fill this out if you are
a European company outside the United Kingdom. If
you do not provide this you will be charged V.A.T.
at the UK rate of 17.5%.
Invoice Currency
Although Freighttender is free we still require you to set currency that you would prefer to be invoiced in.
Preferred
Currency
Select the currency from the drop down list that you
want the site to convert all other currencies into.
You will still see the original currency that someone
has quoted you in or listed an advert in. Along side
this you will see a converted price into your preferred
currency. Your preferred currency is always displayed
in green on the site. This is entered in the registration
process but can be changed using your management page
should your needs alter in the future.
E-mail Address
Please enter your e-mail address here, and then enter
it again in the box underneath. Please ensure that
it is correct on both occasions otherwise you will
get no further in the registration process.
Under the e-mail address you will see a tick box asking
if you want billing information to be sent to the
address already provided above. If you have a different
department that will handle your accounts we suggest
that you untick the box and fill in the e-mail address
of your accounts department in the new boxes that
appear.
1. Select the country you operate from in the drop
down list marked "1. Country"
2. Enter your post code or zip code in the appropriate
box.
3. Enter your town or city.
4. Fill in your county or region.
Fill in your street, building name and number.

Note 2: Reading and entering your postcode
When you look at your postcode you will see a space
in the middle. There are two letters and either one
or two numbers to the left hand side of the space,
type this in the first box. There is one number and
two letters to the right hand side of the space, enter
these in the second box provided.
What to do if a postcode error appears
If you have entered your postcode and a box appears
telling you that "a database search has returned
no match for the postcode you entered" we recommend
that you check your postcode to make sure that it
is correct. If in the unlikely event that your postcode
is correct and cannot be entered please contact us
at support@freighttender.com
Fill in your street, building name and number.
After you have filled in all of the above information
click on the
button.
Step 3

Setting specified
areas
If you have asked to be e-mailed adverts that meet
your specified areas you will now see the boxes displayed
below. You will see different types of freight listed
depending on the areas that you stated you operate
in at the start of the registration process. You do
not need to fill all the boxes in if you only have
a few areas of interest, on the other hand there are
more boxes on your management page should you need
to specify more areas. You can also delete regions
of interest in your management page, should you need
to.

Legal Agreement
Please read our legal agreement then tick the box
underneath stating that you agree with our terms and
conditions. You will need to accept these terms and
conditions to use the site. There is a small icon
of a printer above this box, click on that to print
a copy.
Click on the
button to register.
